FYI

I submitted my life insurance documents at 4 pm today. That is 1 hour and 30 minutes before the deadline. I am cured!!! The greatest lesson I learned from that experience...redundancy!!! I believe I wrote my name, address, and other guano 5x. You should have seen the look on my face when I saw the lone triplicate form. I was waiting for that "70's show" guy (the one dating the cougar) to pop out of nowhere yelling "PUNK'D".

It's good to know you weren't punk'd... But you the reality of the island life doesn't just stem from tremendous and redundant paperwork, but take for example payment booths at CUC, clearing booths at Immigration or Customs. There are booths unmanned and to some extent there are staff but do not report to them when customers are around and leave one or two individuals to carry out the work. Without innovation, motivation and change, I don't see how even paperwork can be reduced from redundancy.

Thanks for the comments. Road-block and grassy, I forgot to mention that there was a computer there too! It was madness! It felt so ridiculous, as if I was chopping cabbage WITH a cutting board!

However, I want to emphasize that the customer rep was very nice and helpful.

Hey, this means that you need to rename your blog.
You should have another contest.
The one who comes up with the best title wins something.
