A manuscript of an actual sober debate, regrettably.

Is there such a mechanism in humans that suppresses “good”? Is it a defense mechanism? Is it a mechanism as a result of natural selection? Does this mechanism exist?

Defense mechanism:

We temper our “good” because of adverse experience.

-Maybe

Natural Selection Mechanism:

Being is “good” is bad for the proliferation of humans therefore really “good” humans are rare.

-IDK

Nonexistent Said Mechanism:

Good and bad coexist or may not exist at all, and everything that we think is real actually does not exist. Lastly, we think we exist but only relative to a fabricated reality.

-What do you think?

Am I high? Regrettably, no.

Is good bad or bad good? Do we really know? Maybe it is backwards! How do we know? I'm not high either........

Do you have to be sober to follow it?

Sounds like a problem with reality, the Matrix???

How about this thought, good is perceived based on the religious teachings as a norm, what constitutes bad to begin with? We know being bad for the reason of why we know good...hmmm that is really something to think about, and I don't think being sober has anything to do with it.

I think we all need to get together and have a "R-BB Tonic" (warm beer + JD). Actually more like a "R-BB Catatonic". Definitely a "bad" thing that is just so "good"!

Maybe...LOL! but then again, we all may be writing a post that reflects around being sober, alcohol or even becoming AA.

But consider the thought process that went on this post, I have to admit, it did get me thinking.

why'd you have to go and make us all think?!
